Gift Together Terms

Gift Together lets a person (the "Organizer") collect money from friends (the "Contributors") for one Alev gift card for someone else (the "Recipient"). By creating a group gift, the Organizer accepts these terms. Contributors accept them when they contribute.

1. Who can organize. The Organizer must be 18 or older and have an Alev Jewelry customer account. The Organizer gives the Recipient's email when creating the group gift and is responsible for it being correct. The gift card is sent only to that email.
2. Contributions. Each contribution is $10 or more, or the same fixed amount for everyone if the Organizer chose one. Contributions are never discounted, even during a store-wide sale or with a discount code: the full amount paid goes to the gift. Contributors pay no sales tax or shipping on a contribution.
3. Privacy. Each Contributor sees only their own contribution. The Organizer sees the names of the Contributors and the total, but not the amounts or messages. The Recipient sees every name, amount and message.
4. Sending the gift. While the gift is open, the money isn't added to anyone's store credit. When the Organizer chooses "Send the gift," we create one Alev gift card for the total and send it to the Recipient. After that, no one can contribute.
5. The gift card. The Alev gift card can only be used at Alev Jewelry. It can't be exchanged for cash. It doesn't expire. Anyone who has the code can use it, so the Recipient should keep it private.
6. Refunds. A Contributor can ask for a refund only by contacting Alev within 24 hours of contributing, and only before the gift card is sent. After the gift card is sent, contributions are final.
7. Messages and texts. Contributors can leave a message that only the Recipient sees. Each person is responsible for what they write, including the gift's title, note and messages. Texts must not infringe anyone's rights or be offensive. We may remove content, or close a group gift, that breaks these terms.
8. Privacy. We use the information in a group gift (names, the Recipient's email, messages and contributions) to run Gift Together and send the gift card, as described in our Privacy Policy. We keep a record of the date and version of these terms that the Organizer accepted.
9. Changes. We may update these terms. The version the Organizer accepted applies to their group gift, unless we tell them about a change and they keep using it after that. We may change or end Gift Together. If we do, gift cards already sent stay valid.
10. Governing law. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, USA.
